BIMBOFICATION OF AGGRESSION

2026
Plastic, crystals
70 × 25 cm
The work investigates how contemporary culture aestheticizes aggression through fashion, internet culture, and visual consumption. The work is created manually through the repetitive application of decorative materials. This repetitive process becomes part of the concept itself: a visual “construction” of aggression through glamour aesthetics. In the project, “bimbo” is used not as an insult, but as an aesthetic and conceptual strategy.
By transforming the weapon into a decorative object, the work creates a conflict between attraction and threat. The rifle no longer functions only as a weapon, but also as a fashion-object, commodity-object, and media image. The project questions whether aestheticizing violence changes our perception of aggression or simply makes it more attractive and consumable.
