19 plaster casts of the artist’s face, barbed wire

Horizon consists of a series of identical plaster casts of my face. The number of casts corresponds to the years of my life. They are held together by barbed wire, forming a single structure.
The work comes from my experience of living through circumstances I did not choose and could not change.
The barbed wire is both a physical restraint and a means of connection. It keeps the casts together while making separation impossible without damage.
There are situations in which speaking does not change anything. What remains is the need to continue.
The title refers to the horizon as a fixed line that remains ahead of us. It can be seen, but never reached.
